More new portfolio work for 2013

Labware

I just launched my print store! Check it out!

I’m thrilled to announce that after a great deal of time, planning and work, I’ve launched the first version of my online print store. I’m pleased to be working with Photoshelter, who have been working hard in the photo industry for a very long time to make things better.

My first featured gallery consists of images that I’ve made on the go over the past year. It will be updated regularly, and all photos will be limited to 10 prints in each size run. Once they are gone, they are gone.

Los Angeles, I’m Yours

My collaboration with The Fox is Black (formerly Kitsune Noir), Los Angeles I’m Yours, is going extremely well. I’ve been shooting up a storm the past two weeks and can’t wait to debut the new work! We are in the process of building the website with a team of designers so that it will be ready to go by next month.

I’m so happy to be working with such great people and meeting so many wonderful talented artists and creatives.

One picture for now, then back to editing!

Bear in Heaven

I went to see Sun Airway, Lower Dens and Bear in Heaven at the Troubador the other day and it was a great show. Here are my favorites from the Bear in Heaven set.

Live Music

I’ve been shooting a lot of shows lately.

The Naked and Famous were great this week at Bardot/School Night. Here’s a shot I like:

Tumblr X Logitech Loft Party

I had the good fortune of being invited to attend an exclusive party last night thrown by Tumblr and Logitech at the new Logitech Loft. It’s a penthouse on the 30th floor of the new Watermarke Tower in the South Park area of Downtown LA. The space was gorgeous, and the view was completely insane. Tumblr and Logitech were nice enough to have excellent catering, an open bar, and new Logitech TVs to play with. If you get a chance to attend any events here while Logitech is sharing the wealth, so to speak, I recommend that you do.

Peanut Butter Wolf

Rolled by DanceRight at La Cita tonight to grab a quick couple snaps of Peanutbutter Wolf, one of my favorite DJs. It was a good time as always, but I’m pretty tired from being sick with a throat cold this week.

Here are a few pics.
These DeeJays Don’t Take Requests. Haha PB Wolf and Excel have a little bit of experience. They don’t need any help picking what comes next.
Peanut Butter Wolf was playing all old hip hop 45’s tonight at La Cita for Dance Right MFG

Jeff Conger comes to Reno for AIGA speaking event (oh and Hot August Nights)

I had the pleasure of hearing Jeff Conger, hot rod photographer and graphic design professor at Montana State University, speak at the Nevada Museum of Art this Tuesday. What a great time! Good networking at the event, made even better by a delicious classic car themed cake from Josef’s Vienna Bakery. Jeff outlined his experiences as an editorial automotive photographer, and spoke about his career as a professor living and working in Bozeman, Montana. It’s always cool to meet people who are passionate about what they do, and Jeff Conger is one of those people: A true gearhead at heart. Thanks to the loveli Leilani Schweitzer for bringing him to Reno.

Afterwards Jeff, Leilani and I went out for drinks at Chocolate Bar, and had some insightful conversation on the state of the photographic and publishing industries. It was nice to hang out on their new patio. Definitely worth a try. Although I do wish they would quit turning up the bad techno to levels that all but prohibit conversation.

Today I was fortunate enough to be invited out to Miller Speedsports at the Stead airport. Dave Miller is a fantastic craftsman of beautiful custom cars, and was more than happy to host Jeff Conger and myself for a photo shoot. Leilani and Earl Spriggs filmed the latest installment of the Twelve Horses podcast, and interviewed Jeff in the gorgeous garage Miller Speedsports has built. Did some fun car to car shots, and had good conversation with Dave and some of his car owner buddies. Here are some photos, enjoy!
